Observations and Anecdotal Information
Lemon essential oil has so many uses, that it should be included in every aromatherapist’s medicine cabinet. It helps to detoxify the liver. It improves digestion, and can help balance blood sugar and stimulate the pancreas and liver.
It is an internal aid for kidney and bladder infections, and a choice herbal remedy for nephritis. I like to include a few drops of lemon in any kidney formula, as it helps to balance the kidneys.
Lemon essential oil is also a great lymphatic and circulatory stimulant. It helps to detoxify the lymphatic system when taken internally over time.
It feels warming on the surface, but is cooling to the interior of the body, pushing heat to the skin’s surface to balance summer heat.
