Process:  Cold-pressed from the peels of the fruits

Botanical name:  Citrus reticulata

Note:  Yellow mandarin essential oil is pressed from the ripening fruit peels; red mandarin essential oil is pressed from the fully ripe fruit peels. Green mandarin essential oil is pressed from the unripe fruit peels, and is considered the highest quality oil by many aromatherapists.

Red mandarin essential oil is detoxifying. It purifies the blood and stimulates the kidneys to eliminate toxic accumulation.  It can help relieve edema, detoxify cellulite skin condition, and relieve water retention.

It can be used to assist in healing scars and skin conditions, especially those involving acne or over production of oil from sebaceous glands.

Cautions

• Avoid using within 24 hours of exposure to sunlight or UV light.  It can be photosensitizing to some people.
• Avoid use with blood thinning drugs.
• Pet information:  Cats may not respond well to conifer oils and citrus oils.  Avoid usage for cats.
