Observations and Anecdotal Information
Plai essential oil is also known as cassumunar ginger. It is a traditional remedy for colitis and colon inflammation, as well as indigestion and gastro-intestinal infection. It can be used by making a semi-homeopathic and taking it orally for this purpose.
In Thailand, this medicinal has been used for many conditions, including asthma, high blood pressure, heart arrhythmia.
It has also been used as a spermacide (use it for this purpose at your own risk!).
It is considered an essential in any Thai massage box as one to combat and relieve joint and muscle aches.
Lawang and Plai together form a pain relieving blend that out performs many others. It is superb for muscular pain, fibromyalgia, joint pain, and arthritis; and works well for neural pain and bone pain as well.
