Observations and Anecdotal Information
May chang essential oil has many medicinal properties, including a more recently discovered anti-tumoral property. It has been deemed possibly effective in arresting the growth of lung cancer cells when diffused, according to an article published in PLoS One Journal.
It is a great bronchodilator, opening breathing passages when inhaled.
It has also been used for pain relief, for muscle or nerve based pain.
As a heart tonic, it balances the heart meridian, aids high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis, and reduces cholesterol when use in a compress or taken internally.
Because it reduces oily skin, it is helpful for acne, fungal infections, and dermatitis.
May chang essential oil also strengthens the digestive system. It is helpful for ulcers, nausea, flatulence, and indigestion.
