$15.60

Mastic essential oil is mentioned in the Holy Bible, as one of the ingredients in “Chism”, a holy oil that was used for anointing. It is one of the oldest essential oils in use, and has sacred meaning and uses in Hebrew, Berber, Turkish, Greek orthodox, Egyptian, and Moroccan cultures. Energetically, mastic essential oil helps to open and relax the mind, allowing the spirit to integrate with the personality, and come forth into everyday consciousness. Inhaling it elevates our thoughts and helps us to focus internally for meditation and prayer.

Observations and Anecdotal Information

The Berbers of Morocco, the ancient Greeks, and other cultures of the Mediterranean, have used mastic essential oil as a gum, food, and medicine for many centuries.

It has been most widely recognized as a digestive system tonic and treatment for ulcers and digestive issues.  Recently mastic essential oil  has been linked to regenerating vision and eyes; and hair regrowth.

Both of these conditions may be linked to the presence of excess H. pylori in the digestive system, causing deterioration including these symptoms. Mastic has been found in the laboratory to eliminate H. pylori bacteria, as mentioned above.

Mastic essential oil has been known to stop bleeding, and is a strong styptic–one of the best of all herbal styptics.  It can be applied directly to wounds.  It  disinfects as well as encouraging the growth of healthy new skin.
