Observations and Anecdotal Information
The lotus, or water lily, has many healing properties, depending on the part of the plant used.
The flower is mainly used for etheric energy healing, making perfumes, and sometimes for cooking or making teas.
Healing properties include improving the heart, liver, and kidneys. The stamens are astringent, and can help the kidneys balance the water element in the body. The flowers are known to lower blood sugar, and relieve excessive thirst.
The flower is also used to stop bleeding, and to relieve unwanted discharges. It is a cardiac tonic, and helps abdominal cramps, and bleeding gastric ulcers. It has been used traditionally for treating post-partum bleeding, frequent urination, and premature ejaculation, uterine bleeding, and venereal disease.
