More About Our Green Mandarin Essential Oil
Size: 5 ml violet glass bottle
Source: Italy
Production method: Cold-pressed, not distilled
Botanical name: Citrus reticulata
Note: Mandarin oil can be pressed from fully ripe fruit peels, yellow peels or in this case, green peels. The oil pressed from green peels is by far my favorite. It seems to have a brighter, lighter, and less sweet aroma than the oils from riper peels.

Observations and Anecdotal Information
One time a friend of mine tried diffusing green mandarin in her young body’s play area. She plugged in the diffuser and walked away. In just a few minutes, the noise level went from chaotic, wild, and boisterous to an unusual level of quiet. She just had to poke her head in the door to see what was going on–the two boys were quietly engaged in a board game. Needless to say, she became a fan of green mandarin!
Green mandarin essential oil is good for detoxifying, and especially for stimulating the kidneys to balance water and release excess. It has numerous healing applications, including skin application for treating scars and stretch marks, acne, and other skin conditions. It is often used in cremes and products for devitalized skin.
This oil makes a particularly wonderful addition to home made cleaning products, which can take the place of dangerous chemical based ones. It has a refreshing scent, and is a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, great for kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
