More About Our German Chamomile CO2 Extract
Size: 1.5 ml amber glass vial OR 5ml violet glass bottle
Source: Germany
Distillation: CO2 total extract
Botanical Name: Matricaria recutita
Note: A steam distilled version of German chamomile essential oil is available here. The CO2 extraction method produces a much smaller concentration of azulene, which results in a deep waxy green colored oil.
CO2 extraction does not produce the high temperature conditions needed to form azulene, an anti-inflammative. Though it contains only trace amounts of azulene, it still carries highly anti-inflammative properties!

Observations and Anecdotal Information
This total extract is a powerful liver and pancreatic regenerator. It enhances the production and release of bile.
It is a great remedy for dissolving stones in the urinary system or gall bladder. It improves digestion, relieves nausea, and soothes ulcers.
This is possibly the best essential oil known for the healing of soft tissue injuries. I have seen it applied to severe strains, sprains, and contusions with really wonderful results.
One time I applied this extract, combined with cypress and rosemary, to the injured and badly bruised foot of a construction worker. He told me his foot had been crushed by a the recoil of a heavy chain, and he had been unable to walk on it for 3 days.
In an hour after the blend was applied with Saran wrap on top, he was able to get up and go to the store. He went to work the following morning, and the pain did not return.
This is my “go to” oil for acute injuries with swelling, inflammation, or pain. It is so mild that it can be used directly on open wounds and skin injuries, without burning or discomfort.
