Eaglewood Essential Oil

Eaglewood essential oil’s aroma is relaxing, and reduces stress and anxiety.  It balances the emotions and quiets the mind. It is known to enhance mental clarity, open the pineal center and all of the upper energy centers, while calming the entire nervous system.

This rare essential oil does not exist under normal conditions.  It only appears when the trees are damaged by insects or lightning, or by rubbing against another tree. The damage results in an infection of mold growing within the tree.  To obtain a quality oil, it is necessary to maintain the infection for several years. Then the tree is cut and the wood is distilled over a period of days. One of the reasons for the rarity and high cost of eaglewood essential oil is the depletion of the wild trees.   Another reason is the popularity of this oil for the perfume industry, dating back to antiquity.  It is mentioned throughout one of the world’s oldest written texts – the Sanskrit Vedas from India.
