Distillation: Steam distilled, from wild harvested needles of the tree.
Botanical name: Cupressus funebris
Note: This tree is indigenous to China and Viet Nam. It is also known as Chinese cedar, and weeping cypress. Other species are often substituted in producing this oil, or mixed to make a similar aromatic profile at a lesser cost, including Juniperus chinensis and Platycladus orientalis. Though they are also marketed as weeping cedar essential oil, they are not the same. We are certain of our source, and are happy to offer you this pure, genuine single species essential oil.
