Neem seed oil has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 6,000 years. It has so many medicinal uses that the neem tree is known as the “village pharmacy”. Ours is extracted with hypercritical CO2 at very low temperatures, which produces a superior oil with an aroma more true to nature than other extraction techniques.
It has recently gained popularity for use as a heart strengthener and balancer. It also provides support to the immune system, with anti-microbial properties that rival the best pharmaceutical medicines.
It is known to offer a natural form of birth control when applied intra-vaginally before intercourse, and leaves no adverse effects on cervix or vaginal tissues, but may not be completely reliable when used in this way.
Neem CO2 extract has so many diverse uses that it is a welcome addition to any natural medicine kit.
Many commercially available neem oils have been heated during expeller pressing, or solvent extracted. Our CO2 extracted oil is processed at very low temperatures, creating an aroma that is nearly identical to the seeds’ own aroma. If you are used to expeller pressed or solvent extracted oils, be aware that this aroma is quite different, and much richer than more refined oils.
Note: This food grade oil can be used internally or externally.
