More About Our Gulhina Attar

Distillation: Traditional steam distillation in copper degs, from the flowers of the henna plant. Attars are typically distilled into a sandalwood receiver, whereas ruh attars are a product of only the original plant, with no receiver used.
Botanical name: Lawsonia inermis
Note: Also known as henna flower attar.
Uses
Inhalation, diffusion, natural perfume blending, topical application, application to energy centers and meridian points.
A small amount of attar or ruh can go a very long way. They should be diluted with a carrier oil for use.
Observations and Anecdotal Information
Gulhina Attar has been used to rub into the skin for improving the complexion. It is also effective for massaging tired muscles, to relieve pain and fatigue.
This attar has been in use since 1500 BCE. It was known to be the favorite scent of the prophet Mohammed.
It is sold by street vendors in Damascus, and Cairo, where it is referred to as the odor of Paradise. For an unusual, beautiful deep and rich perfume oil, gulhina attar has no comparison.
