Observations and Anecdotal Information

Blue gum essential oil was used to sterilize surgical equipment in the 1800’s, before chemicals came to replace it.  This speaks of the disinfectant power of the blue gum.

It is a superb oil for opening breathing passages, clearing mucus from the respiratory system, and easing breathing.  It has been used to treat infectious diseases including deep lung infections, malaria, flu, colds, bronchitis, rhinitis, and tuberculosis.  It can be diffused and inhaled, or applied to the chest in a compress for these conditions.

This is one of my favorite  oils to spray or drip over a sauna, letting it turn to steam and fill the whole room with its aroma.

It is a blood thinner and increases circulation.  It is often used as a relaxing massage oil as well.

Blue Gum has the distinct aroma of the original “Eucalyptus” concept from old times.  Energetically, it expands and opens the Human Energy Field.  It restores energetic imbalances caused by toxicity in the air or EMF pollution.  It is fabulous to diffuse in stuffy places, moldy basements, and any space you want to improve energetically.
