Foraha Botanical Oil–Anti-viral Carrier Oil
Price range: $8.40 through $113.40
Foraha botanical oil in Tahiti is known as tamanu, and in Madagascar it is called foraha. This botanical oil is a thick, heavy oil with its natural waxes intact. It is extremely nourishing to the skin.
It sits somewhere between a carrier oil and an essential oil, containing both a fatty component and aromatic phytochemicals. It is often used in skin and hair care preparations, as it carries its own medicinal properties.
Aromatic Profile of Foraha Botanical Oil
Top Note:
Heart Note: Unique vegetal, waxy note with a sweet, donut like undertone
Base Note: Vegetal, waxy, sweet
Classification: Heart or base note
Tenacity: Medium high
Foraha has a unique aromatic profile, that defies description. It has been described as smelling like donuts, to resembling the aroma of a skunk–the response seems to vary greatly among people. It must be experienced to get the full understanding, like many plant medicines.
Foraha’s true value is in its anti-viral properties. Although it is a waxy carrier oil with fatty properties, it has more essential oil constituents in it, making it great for blending anti-viral oil blends.
