Macadamia botanical oil has a chemical profile which is very similar to human sebum. It’s light, non greasy texture makes it a perfect oil for those with oily skin or acne. The phytosterols contained in the oil can reduce itchiness and inflammation.
This oil is one of the highest sources in nature, for Palmitoleic Acid (Omega 7), with a concentration between 16% and 23%. As skin ages, it becomes depleted in this essential fatty acid. By applying it to the skin, the aging process can be delayed. Skin responds by holding its moisture, gaining tone and regenerating.
It is also a great oil for maintaining heart health, as it has the perfect balance of Omega 3, Omega 7, and Omega 9 fatty acids. The high quality, food grade oil that we offer is safe for internal use as well as external use.
This oil is a wonderful addition to cremes and serums, especially great for anti-aging formulas and acne treatments such as skin serum.
