Rosalina has always been one of my favorite Australian oils.  Though its uses are similar to tea tree, it is a very different sensual experience.  It is such a mild and appealing oil that most children, even very small children, like its aroma.  Massage therapists often choose rosalina for infant massage, as it is very benign and its effects are instantly relaxing and centering for an infant in distress.

Rosalina has the following properties:

  • Immune system booster
  • Anti-bacterial, anti-fungual, anti-infectious, anti-viral and anti-septic
  • Cicatrizant (good for wounds, scar tissue, burns, and radiation burns)
  • Used with massage to move lymph stagnation

It is a superior oil for diffusion into rooms, neutralizing mold and bacteria from the air and helping to improve mental clarity and awareness.  It is excellent for purifying the environment, and is often acceptable to people who normally avoid diffused essential oils, because of its mild, appealing aroma.

It can also be used for treating vaginal infections, by applying a few drops of oil to a tampon and inserting it for overnight.
