Source:  Sri Lanka
Distillation:  Steam distilled
Note:  Made from certified organic seed pods

The aroma of nutmeg always reminds me of autumn’s spiced teas and ciders.  This is a great oil for sports enthusiasts, as it relieves all kinds of muscular pain from injuries, overuse, etc.  It is effective on intercostal pain, sprains, strains, and rheumatism.

It is effective for certain types of headaches, especially those caused by hormonal imbalance.  Taken internally (with proper dilution), it can be very effective for digestive issues including gas, bloating, and indigestion.  It enters and balances the meridians, and helps stimulate the body’s protective energy.

  • Headaches and migraines (especially for hormonal headaches) may be relieved by applying nutmeg as a cool compress to the temples.
  • Imitates estrogen in the body–useful for signaling the body to stop producing estrogen in cases of high estrogen.
  • Helps to ease labor pains during childbirth–apply to abdomen in 4% dilution.
  • Cardio-tonic, useful for strengthening the heart–apply to chest before showers.
