Lemon Ironbark Essential Oil

Source:  Australia

Botanical name:  Eucalyptus staigeriana

Distillation:  Steam distilled

Note:  Artisan distilled from leaves of trees

A very soft and rounded aroma, unlike most eucalyptuses.  It is not as sharp as citriodora.  It has been used as a flavorant for “lemon cordial”, the Aussie equivalent of lemonade.  It makes a lovely tea or drink  that is very high in anti-oxidants.

An extremely gentle eucalyptus, this one aids in regaining the will to make changes, and the will to live.  It has anti-infectious and antiviral properties, and helps open breathing passages and expel mucus and congestion.  It relieves coughs related to flu and colds, and can relieve body aches and pain from viral attack when applied to the spine as a hot compress.

  • Use as a bath oil for assisting the regeneration process.
  • Use as a spinal compress for viruses and flu.
  • Effective for pain relief, especially muscle and body pain.
