There are many liver and gall bladder flushes and cleanses floating around the alternative health world. Some of them are very intense, causing a huge dump of toxic accumulation in a short two or three day time period. These are helpful for some people, but can be complicated for others if their systems are unable to handle this extreme cleansing.
I prefer this formula to all others, because it is very gentle and stimulates a gradual cleansing, just a little at a time, keeping things in balance.
By the end of a two week period of taking this tea, you will find yourself with a cleaner and clearer liver and gall bladder, without the stress on your systems that a more intense cleanse can create.
I recommend taking a course of this tea for two weeks, every spring. It is a marvelous maintenance formula for keeping a healthy liver and gall bladder.
This tea is available by order from DiamondHeart on our Links and Sources page.
To make the tea blend, combine the following:
1/2 cup fenugreek seed
1/4 cup flax seed
1/2 c. fennel seed
1/2 cup star anise seed
1/2 t. peppermint essential oil*
10 drops grapefruit essential oil*
5 drops nutmeg essential oil*
Place the herbs in blender or Vita-mix, and grind each separately. Blend all ingredients together. Add the essential oil and stir with a spoon until you feel the herbal material is well mixed.
To make the tea, add 1 to 2 T. dry mix to 1 quart simmering water, and allow it to simmer for 10 minutes. Strain and drink one cup of tea while hot. Store the rest of tea in refrigerator and reheat for the next dose. Take a cup of tea once or twice a day, making a new batch whenever you need it.
Tea may be sweetened with maple syrup, honey or agave nectar.
Please Note:
*Be aware if purchasing essential oils from a retailer for internal usage! The essential oil market is filled with deception and compromise. Please seek out a source of quality, pure essential oils if you are using them internally.
We purchase our oils directly from growers and distillers; there is no large profit-based company between. See our Links & Sources page for sources of genuine, authentic and pure organically grown and consciously grown essential oils.
I tried this and it was incredible! I mixed a batch up and stored it in a jar and I keep going back just to smell it. The high quality organic essential oils made such a difference, too.
