Distillation: Steam distilled from bark
Botanical name: Ravensare anisata
This tree is a close relative of ravensare aromatica, which produces ravensare essential oil. It has many similar properties, with the addition of a sweet, anise-like licorice note to the aroma. It supports bone regeneration, and has been shown to strengthen bone deterioration when used consistently. If you are regenerating a calcium depleted bone condition, apply this oil externally, and take an internal semi-homeopathic supplement of havozo or ravensare, combined with horsetail, comfrey root, and magnesium.
Havozo is also one of the strongest anti-viral essential oils, effective against shingles, herpes, viral hepatitis, and meningitis.
It is a gall bladder tonic, and stimulates the production of bile. It’s aroma is enjoyable to most people; it has also been used for reducing the symptoms of allergies and asthma. And finally, it is a strong anti-viral, making it a great treatment for influenza and viral attacks. Apply diluted oil to the spine or chest, cover with a hot wet towel, and allow it to soak in for 20 minutes.
