Champaca flowerSource:  China

Distillation:  CO2 Extraction

Botanical name:  Magnolia michelia alba

Note:  Used as a temple flower in the Far East

This  champaca oil is extracted  from the fresh flowers of the white magnolia tree.  It has a strong spiritual presence, bringing a sense of peace and reverence when inhaled.  In some countries it is used as an offering in temples, its aroma filling the sacred spaces with a beautiful essence.

Champaca is a powerful heart tonic, and can be used to regulate the heartbeat.  Apply it to the spine with a compress, or apply it to the chest and place a hot towel over the top.  Relax in a comfortable position for 20 minutes and allow the oil to do its work.

It is a great treatment for balancing the symptoms of PMS and other hormonal challenges.  It eases hot flashes, and reduces stress associated with menopause and menstrual tension. An astringent, champaca tones the skin, tightens wrinkles and tissue, and balances oil production. It can be used to reduce fever as well.  It is an aphrodisiac for many, igniting a sense of passion through its beautiful floral aroma.

Energetically, it balances the heart meridian, and opens the energy flow through the heart and pericardium, making it very useful for enhancing acupressure treatments for the heart.  It boosts courage, enhances confidence, and expands consciousness in the heart.  When we feel strong and trust in our own heart’s knowing, we can easily drop old forms of protection that are no longer necessary.
