Cardamom has an ancient history in Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Roman traditional medicines. In India, it is known as the Queen of Spices. It prevents digestive tract infections, gas and nausea. Cardamom stimulates and regulates the production of gastric juices. Because cardamom is such a fragrant spice, it is a natural mouth freshener. It also helps prevent mouth ulcers.
