Ambrette CO2 Extract

Botanical name:  Hibiscus abelmoschus

Note:  Extracted at very low temperature and high pressure, from seeds of the plant.  This is a most valued oil for the perfume industry, as it is a fine aroma with a natural fixative property.

Ambrette has been an established medicinal and aromatic for thousands of years.  Its therapeutic use was almost lost in the last century, when it became used almost exclusively for flavoring and the  fragrance industry.

Its properties include:

• Tonic for the digestive system
• Stomachic
• Aperitive
• Digestive
• Contains a steroid-like constituent that may be helpful when detoxifying from steroid drug use

Energetically, ambrette enhances self-confidence; strengthens the flow of energy through the meridians; and stimulates external (or protective) chi.

Since it is extremely valued by the flavor and fragrance industry, it can be hard to find high quality ambrette, and the cost is often higher than rose otto.  This oil, a CO2 extraction, is available in a limited amount.
